Hello, my friends! Welcome back to the Mae B Mindful Podcast. I’m so happy you’re here with me.

I’ve been thinking about a painting of Bambi I have on the wall behind me. She’s standing tall with a little twinkle in her eye as if to say, “You’ve got nothing on me.” She embodies this joyful, pure essence in the picture—her true self. It reminded me of the solution we need to access to overcome the kinds of problems that feel unsolvable, the kind that can make us feel discouraged, crushed, or alone.

No matter who we are, everyone has their own challenges. And while there’s a wealth of neuroscience and amazing information available, I believe the ultimate solution is spiritual. All the knowledge in the world can guide us toward understanding, but it won’t fully solve our problems. True transformation happens on a deeper level.

If we want to access real solutions, sometimes we find ourselves at rock bottom, feeling crushed under the weight of it all. But that’s not necessarily a bad place to be. This feeling of defeat can be sacred ground for humble surrender and acceptance. When we stop seeking external solutions that offer only temporary relief, we’re left with ourselves, ready for a new way of seeing things.

The issue is often the way we see things—the beliefs and fears we’ve accumulated that cloud our true vision. These “lies,” even if they once served to protect us, can distort our perception. They create a haze that blocks our light, just like how Bambi’s essence might be covered by the rubble of life’s problems. Yet, at the bottom of this pile is where we can meet ourselves in our pain and come closer to the solution.

These fears we hold on to are not healthy. They prevent us from expressing our true essence and block us from freely living our purpose. Reclaiming our light is about going through the rubble and connecting with the bright truth of who we are. When we access the divine power within us, it shines brightly and lifts us out of our problems. There are many ways to do this, whether it’s through talk therapy or, as I’ve found effective, hypnosis. We don’t have to set up camp in our pain and live there.

When we are ready to face our fears and wake up to them, we gain more awareness of ourselves. The process can be uncomfortable, but it’s necessary to shed these layers that no longer serve us. As we gain clarity, we experience freedom and reconnect with our true selves.

The journey inward is a beautiful process that unfolds at its own pace. We’ll encounter different parts of ourselves, sometimes even painful parts, but if we understand that obstacles are often just thoughts and fears thrown up by the mind, we can move through them. Imagine if you truly believed that you were held, protected, and already whole. How would that change things for you?

Often, we build structures for ourselves to feel safe, but as we dismantle these false structures, we become free. We’re rediscovering our true selves, a reunion with our core. We are all made of divine substance, of the same essence that God is, and we each hold a piece of that ever-expansive, sustaining light.

I’ve had experiences where simply changing a belief was enough to release me from my pain. At other times, it took more. But I believe everything in my journey, even the difficult parts, has been a valuable teacher. I’ve learned that I don’t have to chip away at every little problem; sometimes, it’s about seeing the bigger picture and shifting my perception.

Hypnosis has been a powerful tool for me, allowing me to address issues without needing to dig into every detail. Through practices like meditation, prayer, and listening, I’ve built a relationship with the divine presence within me. This relationship allows me to approach life with trust and peace, knowing I’m held.

At the end of the day, reconnecting with this divine presence is the most important work we can do in our healing journeys. I’ve learned that my challenges are like mountains that I now stand on, giving me a higher vantage point. They no longer weigh me down.
